The AIDC is a must-attend four-day event for the factual film and broadcasting industry, attracting now over 600 national and international delegates. We focus on debate, discussion and deal-making opportunities. In addition, masterclasses and forums raise and explore current challenges and showcase work.
February 2007 sees AIDC coming of age. Documentary makers from around Australia and the world will join together in Adelaide to explore ideas, share experiences, showcase work, make deals and get inspired.
AIDC is a key event on the International Documentary circuit. The 2007 program looks at what inspires us, how to use new tools and techniques and what are current best practice models in factual filmmaking, as well as providing stimulating marketplace opportunities.
AIDC continues to grow hand in hand with the Australian documentary industry. At 20 years of age in 2007, we celebrate over-coming past growing pains and gear up for what will come. Together, we can look proudly at our past and approach the future in an inspiring and sustainable way.
Strong market place opportunities are created through key events such as:
Australian DOCUmart a one-day pitching/co-financing session to pitch your idea to a panel of potential broadcasters and investors.
MeetMarket if your project is selected it is made available to every buyer attending the Conference. Buyers then ask to meet with the producers they're interested in. During the Conference scheduled one-on-one meetings will be organised on buyers request.
Pitch & Punt Looking for development money for your project? If selected, you get to pitch your idea to buyers who, after a healthy public Q&A session, may take a punt and help develop your idea.
A broad spectrum of the industry attends the conference from filmmakers, commissioners, industry suppliers, funding agencies, broadcasters, distributors, co-financiers, journalists, educational institutions and students.
